Among birders, the Klingnau reservoir is famous for its diverse waterfowl and therefore it is the perfect spot to meet some of the species and to learn how to distinguish them. Beside common species like mallard or black coot you can also find rather rare species like pintail or little egret.

On this guided tour, you will have the opportunity to observe them all. Besides the species you will also explore their habitats and biology. Why spend most of the ducks only winter at the Klingnau reservoir, which species migrates even to southern Africa and where do the herons and egrets breed? Find out all the answers and get to know more about the conservation of this area!

After the excursion you are welcome to visit the nature center, have a hot coffee and try out our nature trail and the exhibitions.
